Competence at GSC Schwörer begins with the first customer contact

Increased requirements regarding drive technology often mean that gearing solutions cannot be implemented using standard components. Our Development and Design Department creates customised drives that are tailored to our customers’ individual applications.

It’s up to you: we can either design a completely new solution on your behalf or redesign and re-engineer your existing products.

Close partnerships with our customers are vital when developing tailored drive concepts. We get together with you to discuss your specific constructional requirements in detail, then translate them into technically and commercially optimised solutions. Functional gears and geared motors are modelled using powerful 3D CAD software.

We provide our customers with comprehensive consulting and support – from the initial enquiry through the development of the first samples to shipping of the finished driving elements.

Efficient customer order management is crucial to the success of our business activities: experts from Production Control, Sales, Logistics and Customer Support work together in one department in our Order Processing Centre. In addition to planning and controlling production processes and capacities, as the interface between our customers and all internal stakeholders, the Order Processing Centre is responsible for operative materials purchasing and production logistics. During the complete order processing, our material planners are in constant contact with our customers, who profit from extensive project support tailored to their individual needs.

From the original idea via the concept to the prototype

Prototypes and product samples are manufactured in-house based on the product development specifications. Most of our samples are built on the standard machines which will also be used later, enabling close-to-series production to be simulated during the development phase.

The first prototypes which are produced in this way are functionally tested together with the customer; they are then further optimised until readiness for series production is achieved and the result satisfies all of the user’s requirements. The quality of the initial samples is checked once again using advanced measurement technologies before series production commences. An initial sample inspection report certifying conformity with the customer’s specifications can be provided on request.

After the sample has been released, the parts can complete the transition to series production. Regular investments in latest-generation CNC production machinery and manufacturing technologies, coupled with highly qualified employees, determine our ability to build gears and gear parts economically.

Our close cooperation with suppliers and production partners over many years ensures consistently high quality and a problem-free serial supply chain.

In addition to developing and manufacturing the products, we can also completely assemble the gears, geared motors and components in accordance with our customers’ wishes. Since the components are transferred direct from Production to our in-house Assembly department, your drive solution is completed on schedule in a cost-efficient manner.

To make sure we meet customer requirements regarding the quality and precision of our gears and gear parts, the entire process chain undergoes extensive quality assurance.

Advanced measurement methods and test equipment aligned to each customer’s specific product requirements are fundamental to high-quality manufacturing.

We have held DIN EN ISO 9001 certification continuously since 1995 as official confirmation of our company’s high quality standard. In addition to quality assurance, energy efficiency and environmental protection also play a prominent role in all production steps. A comprehensive energy and environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 and DIN EN ISO 14001 ensures our business practices live up to our lofty expectations.

We get your goods safely to their destination

Fast and reliable shipping logistics form the solid foundation for punctual deliveries. We constantly endeavour to improve our flexibility and our responsiveness for this reason. Stock management based on customer requirements helps us react promptly to short-term needs and ensures a problem-free supply chain.

We also maintain consignment warehouses in consultation with our customers.

Packaging solutions tailored to specific products can be developed together with the customer as an option. After your order has been picked, our expert logistics partners of many years guarantee timely, cost-efficient delivery and a well-documented supply chain.

From Initial Idea to Finished Product

Expertise in all departments

GSC Schwörer customers are supported by qualified staff from the initial idea up until the release for series production and the delivery of the gears and gear parts. Our Order Processing Centre is there to help throughout the manufacturing phase; this ongoing support goes hand in hand with efficient and targeted communication.

The competent advice of our designers regarding the optimal gear design, the most suitable materials and the most appropriate production methods pave the way for high-quality products. Prototypes and first samples are manufactured in-house under conditions which simulate series production as closely as possible. After construction, the gears and geared motors can be finished in the customer’s desired colour in our in-house paint shop.

Our products undergo constant quality assurance: the material is checked by Goods Receipt as soon as it arrives at the factory, to make sure only first-class raw materials and semi-finished products are processed. Continuous in-process measurements, as well as modern 3D measurement systems and CAQ software in quality assurance, enable seamless documentation and efficient complaint management. Thanks to thorough final inspections, only flawless products leave the premises. An optimised logistics process, which remains under the control of our Order Processing Centre up to Goods Issue, means all our products are shipped efficiently and on schedule.
